I throw myself into any activity that I am involved in; especially if it's something I enjoy. When I started my artistic journey I sought to learn and experience every aspect of painting and drawing. I soaked up all the info I could get my hands on both online and offline.
Clay is no different. I want to learn all there is to learn then learn what comes after. It excites me.
I enjoy a good raku so my diy project was to build a raku kiln. This would also prepare me somewhat,for the challenges of gas firing.
I'm going to share my process with you in another post this week but for now here's a snap of the first firing test.
