Thursday saw the genesis of four more pieces on the wheel. One bowl and a vase, each textured an a bottle that may never see the light of day since i'm not too happy with it.The third piece, a round-bellied vase seen below was an experiment with texture using sodium silicate mixed with terra cotta slip. This is a keeper, since it was my forst time and it is a technique that I will definitely be trying again. Thank you to Hsin Chuen Lin and Ceramics Daily for the inspiration and instruction.
