She Shells

Haven't had much luck with lidded jars. So far I have done a few and even though the making was fine the afterglow turned sour.

I am not giving up though. Made another one.  Measures about 10" and the "knob" on the lid was inspired by my love of collecting shells and stones at the beach. I have a good feeling about this one.

Spent my evening doing some reclaim of clay. Hopefully my sacks will dry out enough so I can have clay while I wait for my order to come. I want to work out some images that I see in my minds eye.
Threw one piece afterward. It started out one way but along the way I saw something else and went with it. Can't wait for it to dry so I can turn it and 'play' with colour.
Funny what you can see in a drop of water.

This marks my first attempt at making a goblet in two parts- bowl and stem.
The last batch of glaze tests  hinted at goblets.  Haven't thought about anything else since.
Have a lot of structural issues to work out; one of them being a clay that cracks at the drop of a pin tool. May decide to make a video of my process, who knows.
Be blessed

No work today. Just basking in the glow of this day and reflecting on God's goodness. Why not take some time and count your blessing. Bet you they are more than a bowl full.
Shabbat Shalom.
